About Lynne
Lynne Stainthorpe founded Big Idea Brand Marketing in 2010 after a successful career in the corporate world, marketing for the likes of Dulux, Unilever and Beecham.
“I was an employee for many years, then worked as a consultant. Marketing paints, fragrance and toiletries taught me that the real power in this work lies in selling the emotional and expressive benefits of products and services.
Clients know how they want their customers to feel and I pride myself in making the vision for their business a reality.
My experience cuts across all sectors and brand types. I’ve worked in business-to-business, business-to-consumer and in brand licensing. I love bringing the magic of branding to business owners who have set their sights on playing big, and here at Big Idea Brand Marketing, people are at the centre of everything we do.”
Creating marketing strategies for paint manufacturers allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of how to harness the emotional power of colour in building brand relationships.
It’s important I know how colour works in our environment, through symbolism, association, psychology and physically so I can use this expertise to create effective colour palettes in your brand messaging.
This is crucial because your colours act as ‘the silent ambassador of your brand’ (Pantone) and form first impressions. The palette we recommend for your business conveys emotions, feelings and experiences. It helps potential clients ‘feel’ your brand, rather than just seeing it.
